We wanted to see how far we could push the envelope in terms of having our food be our medicine. What more could we be doing to have what we eat contribute to our overall sense of health and well being?
Preparing a beautiful dinner is one thing. But what about those meals on the go or the necessarily quick snack in the midst of a busy day?
Inspired by the challenge, our starting point was a range of ingredients that we know and love for their clear nutritional benefit. We drew from a diverse array of organic seeds, nuts, grains, spices, dried fruit, and more and began experimenting. The first batch was so devilishly delicious we were disbelieving!
Heartened by our initial results, we kept tinkering with the recipe. At some point our excitement overtook us–a little more of this, a little less of that–and soon we were making more than we were eating. And we were eating a lot! So we started sharing the extras. The response from friends and family was enthusiastic. Before we knew it, people were placing orders. And here we are!
